Trapiche Oak Cask

Trapiche Oak Cask

Summary
The Oak Cask tier is the flagship of the Trapiche estate and represents the very best
in combined quality and value that Argentina has to offer.

Terroir: Each of the Trapiche Oak Cask selections are sourced from estate and
outside vineyards throughout Argentina’s Mendoza region. With an average
elevation above 2,500 feet and over 300 days of sun each year these vineyards are
ideally suited to reach optimal ripeness under the most natural conditions.

Vinification: Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted upon arrival at Trapiche’s state
of the art winery in the heart of Mendoza. The must is macerated and fermented in
temperature controlled vats in order to extract as much color, flavor and aroma as
possible. Following fermentation the wines are aged as separate lots in the cellars for
a period of 12 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Final
blending and a light filtration occurs prior to bottling.
